(A copy of this letter below was mailed to my clients on February 12th, 2019)
I hope you are keeping well and warm during this frosty February of 2019.
As you know, I am incredibly hands-on with you and all my clients and providing the highest level of care and service is of paramount importance to me. Not just because I like you as a person or that Jennifer likes you, too, but because when decisions need to be made that affect your portfolio and your financial future, I know you want someone who knows you, who is educated and experienced to ensure that decisions are made in your best interest – not just in the moment but for the long-term.
I have made some big changes over the last few years in order to provide a level of service that I can be proud to deliver. Our client base has grown substantially over the last 18 months with people literally voting for our service. For 4 years in a row, I was voted Reader’s Choice Best Advisor and last year The Benedict Wealth Management Group was awarded Best Investment Firm.
And so, as the demands of the turbulent markets grow, and as our book of business grows, we are taking our business to the next level to continue to deliver the very best service, financial planning, and investment advice to you at the highest standard. To that end, I have another big, exciting announcement to make.
The Benedict Wealth Management Group will be partnering with Ben Lapshinoff of SilverBirch Wealth Management effective as of February 15, 2019. Please Click here to learn more about Ben. Ben has an amazing gift for reading the markets with a detailed technical approach while I look at the markets from a broader perspective and interpret how those numbers affect you and your individual investments. With our combined strengths, we will provide our clients with extraordinary advice and customer care.
SilverBirch also has two consulting partners, Jeff Chisholm, and Bert Keene, along with two associates (soon to be three with Jennifer) and an insurance consultant, Ross Brown. We have almost 150 years of combined experience and industry knowledge.
We have all known each other for almost 20 years. Ben and I basically grew up together, learning the ropes side by side at ScotiaMcLeod back in 2000 with Jeff and Bert as our mentors.
I will be organizing a Meet & Greet in the Spring, so you can meet Ben in person.
Since there are 4 partners and everyone would love to have their name in the title, we are setting our ego’s aside and will all be operating under the Silver Birch Wealth Management umbrella.
Please know, I trust the team at SilverBirch fully and completely and I would leave my children with these guys and without hesitation, would hand over my house keys and my passwords to all my accounts to them.
How does this change our relationship?
It doesn’t really change at all. You will continue to meet and communicate with me as you always have. You will only communicate with Ben on an as-needed basis or anytime you wish.
Here are the benefits to us teaming up:
- Access to other financial experts if you ever want to have an in-depth technical discussion.
- Additional expertise and support and your fees do not change.
- Expert input based on your specific portfolio, not random generic hypotheticals.
- Consistent service from people I trust implicitly even if I go away on vacation, or if anything should happen to me.
All the money that you have entrusted to me is from your years of hard work and sacrifice and I respect and honour that with each and every decision that I have made.
I will continue to work hard to ensure that you are looked after and that your money is looked after in a way that meets your goals – with expertise and care.
Thank you for your continued trust in me.
With kind regards,
